This is a 11x14 oil on gallery wrapped canvas. This guys name is "Flash". I have not personally met Flash, but I feel as if I met him, through his owner Terri B. who lives in North Carolina. Terri has written an unpublished book about Flash, and how he loved people, the ocean, loved going to the market. In fact, the owner of the market loved him so much they wanted to buy him. As I read each chapter, my heart filled with love for Flash. Then your heart is broken as the story continues as his health takes a dive. She had to make the horrible decision that some of us have to make so that they do not suffer. Flash is now, I am sure, running, loving and greeting new friends in his new home. I have done commissioned pieces before, but this one was different for me. I so enjoyed doing it, and Terri is pleased with the outcome. Flash is now hanging over her side of the bed protecting her.
